Members of the public are being asked to help to identify a mysterious boat that washed ashore on Tiree.
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) has launched an appeal on social media to find the owner of the vessel after it was discovered on Monday by Tiree coastguard rescue team.
The boat has been identified as an autonomous wave rider which gathers data using energy from waves and solar panels.
It is believed that could have travelled hundreds of miles before washing up on the Hebridean island.
The vessel was spotted off Skye back in March by a local fisherman.
So far the vessel’s owner has not been found.
