The fire service attended the property at Main Street in Castletown around 10.40pm, with two crews sent from Thurso. The blaze started in one room within the property, which was completely gutted by the flames. A spokesman said: “The fire was confined to one room, which suffered 100% fire damage and 100% smoke damage. “There was one person who was suffering from smoke inhalation, who is being treated by paramedics.” Already a subscriber?
