Fort William Coastguard Rescue Team was called out to assist six kayakers who capsized in the middle of Loch Lochy last night.
A Stornoway Coastguard spokesman said police received a 999 call from the group around 6.45pm.
He said: “The call stated that three kayaks had capsized.
“Four of the men had swum ashore and the other two were on a fish farm pontoon, but they needed assistance to get back to shore.
“Fort William Coastguard team provided assistance from the shore and kept us informed.
“Contact was made with the fish farm owners who retrieved the casualties.”
A police spokeswoman confirmed that the two men stranded on the fish farm pontoons had been rescued by a Marine Harvest boat.
She added that none of the kayakers required hospital treatment.
