Final preparations are underway for the fourth Three Lochs Book and Arts Festival, which will take place at Strontian in Lochaber later this month.
The event, billed as offering something for everyone, will kick off on Friday September 16 with a schools’ programme packed with entertaining and educational activities for local primary and high school children.
The following day, there will be a full programme of events, including Kids’ Cook School sessions, art, writing and photography workshops, author events, a film screening, entertainers and storytellers.
A barbecue on Saturday evening will be followed by a foot-stomping performance by the Budapest Café Orchestra.
Chairman of the festival organising committee David Barker said: “The Three Lochs Book and Arts Festival arose from an existing smaller festival held annually in the Sunart Centre in Strontian.
“A group of committed volunteers came together to develop an entertaining, educational and accessible biennial event. We also host interim events.
“We have now held three very successful and well-attended festivals and are very much looking forward to this year’s event.”
