Motorists are being warned of roadworks due to start on the A9 in Perthshire next week.
The £285,000 resurfacing project will take place overnight from Tuesday, October 4 approximately two miles north of Dunkeld.
A stretch of around 3,300ft is due to be resurfaced.
Work will take place overnight from 7pm until 7am each night from Tuesday to Thursday in the first week, with no works planned on Friday and Saturday nights.
The work will run Sunday to Thursday during the second week with works scheduled to be complete by October 13.
Temporary traffic lights and a 10mph convoy system will be in place during the works but will be removed outside of working hours to help keep disruption to a minimum, although a speed restriction of 30mph will remain in place as traffic will be running on a temporary surface.
Eddie Ross, Bear Scotland’s north west unit representative said: “These essential resurfacing works will upgrade this section of the A9 to the north of Dunkeld, creating a smoother and safer journey for motorists.
“We’ve planned these works to take place overnight and avoid working on the busier Friday and Saturday nights to limit the impact to motorists as much as possible.”
