The north is basking in glorious sunshine today, just hours after the first snowfall of the autumn landed on the summit of Cairn Gorm.
A video has been uploaded on a social networking site showing a flurry of the white stuff on the 4,084ft Munro, near Aviemore, in the Cairngorms.
Tiny snowflakes can be seen falling onto the rocky terrain and landing on the back of a black glove.
And the man who posted the video said it was decidedly chilly up there at the time.
