A lifeboat was launched to carry out a late night medical evacuation from a Highland quarry.
Oban lifeboat was tasked by Stornoway Coastguard at 9.25pm on Tuesday to take a casualty from Glensanda quarry on the Morvern peninsula.
The volunteer crew left the berth accompanied by two paramedics, arriving on scene by 10.05pm. The casualty was assessed by the paramedics prior to being safely transferred to the lifeboat, which then made best speed back towards Oban.
Once back at the lifeboat berth the casualty was transferred to a waiting ambulance at 11.35pm.
The condition of the casualty is unknown.
