The Stornoway coastguard has been called out after a vessel has not returned for over six hours.
The missing 19ft boat went out fishing off the coast of the Isle of Lewis at 6pm and was expected to return within a few hours.
The coastguard, including three rescue teams and a helicopter was called out to search for the boat at 10.47pm this evening.
The search is still ongoing.
A coastguard spokeswoman said: “A specific time of return wasn’t given so we have sent out the coastguard helicopter, Stornoway lifeboat and three coastguard rescue teams.”
