A 21 year old Inverness woman who became involved in a fight in a city bar had her sentence deferred for six months to be of good behaviour.
A background report had been prepared on Rebecca Langley of Temple Crescent, who appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court last month.
She admitted slapping a man in The Fluke Inn in Culcabock Road on March 26.
She also admitted behaving in a threatening manner and engaging in a fight with another woman.
Defence solicitor Clare Russell said: “She was under the influence of alcohol and illicit substances and was disinhibited
“But that does not excuse her. She has now found employment and takes great pride in this as she is off benefits.”
Langley will re-appear on September 14.

A 49 year old Dingwall man was ordered to carry out 172 hours of unpaid community work after police found over £1,000 worth of amphetamine in his house.
Inverness Sheriff Court heard yesterday that Liam McGuire, now of Tulloch Street, Dingwall was already on a community payback order and had 128 hours to complete.
The maximum a Sheriff can impose is 300 hours.
McGuire admitted being concerned in the supply of the drug on July 14, 2015 and had sentence deferred for a background report.
Fiscal depute Anna Robertson said officers found a ticklist as well as a parcel containing 108.56 grams of the drug in the property.
A Stornoway fisherman who shouted abuse at his wife was fined £400 when he appeared for sentence yesterday at Inverness Sheriff Court.
A background report had been called for on 39 year old Kevin Macdonald of Ford View, Tong, Isle of Lewis, after he admitted behaving in an abusive manner towards his spouse Catherine in their home at Wester Inshes Place, Inverness on December 27.
