Fans are being urged to behave at this weekend’s match between Ross County and Celtic this weekend.

A large crowd is expected to travel for the 12.30pm kick-off at Victoria Park in Dingwall on Sunday.

Celtic have already secured the league title – while Ross County are still battling to stay in the top flight next season.

Police match commander Chief Inspector Alastair Garrow said: “I would like to welcome the Celtic team and their fans to the Highlands and congratulate them on their success this season.

“We are looking forward to the fixture and want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable day. Police will be in attendance at the event and will be there to offer any help needed.”

He said it was expected to be busy around the ground before and after the game so advised those travelling to leave extra time for their journeys.

Ch Insp Garrow added: “I am well aware that the overwhelming majority of fans will behave in an appropriate manner and be assured any violence, anti-social behaviour or disorder will not be tolerated.

“I also want to remind fans that they should not drink alcohol in the street, in the stadium, or when travelling to and from the game.

“Those who attend the ground drunk will not be permitted entry.”
