A boy was airlifted to hospital in Inverness yesterday afternoon after suffering serious injuries in a fall from a tree.
The accident happened at a remote spot in the Kildonan area on the Helmsdale-Kinbrace route in Sutherland.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said: “We received a call at 2.21pm to attend an incident near Kildonan.
“We dispatched one ambulance, a doctor and our helimed air ambulance to the scene.
“One male patient was taken to Raigmore Hospital by helicopter.”
The boy’s condition was not known.
