Thousands of bikers descended on Aviemore over the weekend for the largest Harley Davidson rally in Europe.
Thunder in the Glens, which received a warm welcome from local people, was brought to a finale by a performance from the Bay City Rollers.
The event is organised by the Dunedin Chapter of the Harley Owners Group, based in Edinburgh.
Organiser George Maguire said: “We have had a fantastic weekend. It has been a roaring success. Saturday might have been a bit damp but it didn’t dampen spirits and Sunday’s sunshine dried everybody out.
“There has got to have been in excess of 10,000 people in Aviemore and surrounding villages spread out in the streets for the parade from Aviemore to Grantown on Spey on Saturday.
“Around 2,000 bikes rode out of Aviemore with thousands of spectators lining the streets in the villages in between, including Nethy Bridge and Boat of Garten.
“It is predominately Harley owners but other bikers come too. I would say there is a split of about 6,000 bikers and 4,000 tourists.”
The event is centred around the MacDonald Resort in Aviemore.
The weekend included music events, a Scottish night, Harley Davidson demonstrations, motocross riding, off road riding and face painting for the children.
Trips and ride outs throughout the weekend included visits to Kingussie Folk Museum, local distilleries, Cairngorm Mountain and Culloden Moor.
A total of 15 bands played throughout festival, culminating in a performance by the Bay City Rollers at the MacDonald Resort.
It was being streamed live so that locals could enjoy it for free on a large screen.
Mr Maguire said: “The locals are not quite welcoming, they are completely welcoming. It is something that is commented on every year by people that come, the welcome across the whole valley is so warm, everyone just loves it.
“We would like to say a special thank you to the people of Badenoch and Strathspey for their welcome and openness to us being here.”
Last year Scots rockers Big Country performed at the event, which has been running since 1996 and provides an annual economic boost to the local area.
