Fire crews rushed to timber yard fire

Fire crews were called to cut free a trapped person from one of the vehicles.

Fire crews were rushed to a blaze at a Fort William timber yard overnight.

Two engines were sent to BSW Timber on the A830 at Corpach at around 23.45pm on Thursday.

Two firefighters inspected what was described as a “heavily smoke-logged building” using breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera.

One hose reel jet was used to extinguish the flames by 12.35am.

No-one is thought to have been hurt.
