Mountain rescuers spent five hours in blizzard conditions this evening finding a trio of walkers lost in the Cairngorms.
A team of eight were called out mid-afternoon to assist a party of three who were lost in darkness on the plateau.
The rescuers used a tracked vehicle to gain height, and found the climbers stuck at around 3500ft (1066m).
A Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team spokesman said: “[The] rescue took about five hours in all in clag and snow.
“Not a night to spend out on the tops.”
