Thurso’s Minor Injury Unit and Urgent Care Centre is the latest to announce temporary closures during the festive season.
The decision was taken so that nursing staff at Dunbar Hospital can ensure current in-patients are safely cared for.
It will be temporarily suspended overnight for three days from tomorrow to New Year’s day.
The MIU’s daytime service from 7am to 7pm will remain unaffected, and the Out of Hours Service will continue as normal.
Members of the public will be able to contact the on-call Out of Hours doctor between 7pm in the evening to 7am in the morning by calling NHS 24 on 111.
