Highland councillors have agreed a 3% rise in council tax.
The increase was put forward by the local authority’s administration in an effort to plug a £15m hole in the budget for the year ahead.
Councillors are meeting today in Inverness to consider a range of proposed savings.

Among the proposals are increasing prices at car parks, closing public toilets and cutting Eden Court Theatre’s funding by 40%.
