A man was airlifted to hospital from an Easter Ross beach today after falling around 20ft.
The accident happened around 2pm about three miles north of Balintore.
Inverness, Porthmahomack, Cromarty and Dornoch coastguard rescue teams, Ivergordon Lifeboat and the Coastguard search and rescue helicopter based at Inverness were all sent.
The helicopter landed on the beach and the man was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. His condition is unknown.
