The emergency services were required at three separate incidents in the north this evening after reports of road traffic collisions were received.

A Police spokesman confirmed their attendance at a two vehicle collision on the A95 near Aviemore at 5.50pm. An ambulance was requested to the incident after reports of a 50-year-old female suffering from chest pains were received. Debris was evident across the road, requiring the attention of Bear Scotland.

In a separate incident, reports were received shortly before 6.30pm of a two vehicle road traffic collision, around three miles north of the Kessock Bridge on the northbound carriage.

The incident required the attendance of police, fire and ambulance crews.

A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We attended the incident but as there were no persons trapped we were stood down.”

There were no injuries reported as it emerged the collision occurred as a result of a rear end shunt.

Another collision was reported at 6.52pm on the A82 near Onich. Reports had been received by Police Scotland of a vehicle upside down in a ditch on the northbound lane of the Onich – Inchree road. Police personnel attended the scene where the persons involved were traced and found to be safe and well.
