Emergency services attended a two vehicle road traffic collision at Nairn this afternoon, with two casualties taken to hospital as a result.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent two crews from Nairn and another from Inverness to the incident, which occurred at 3.35pm on the A939 road from Nairn towards Grantown.
Upon arrival the fire service established all persons had made their way out of the vehicles involved safely, therefore, stood down the crew from Inverness.
Crews from Nairn remained on scene to assist in making the vehicles safe.
One vehicle was reported to be on its side as a partial blockage of the road occurred. Recovery for the vehicles was arranged.
A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 1535 to attend a road traffic accident on the A939 between Nairn and Grantown. We dispatched two ambulances to the scene and two patients were transferred Raigmore Hospital.”
