Emergency services attended the scene of a road traffic collision involving a van yesterday morning.
The incident occurred on the A939 Grantown to Bridge of Brown Road.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: “We received a call at 10.50am to reports of a one-vehicle collision on the A939.
“One van was involved and we mobilised crews from Grantown and Tomintoul to the scene. Reports were received of one persons trapped; however, upon arrival it was found the casualty had been freed.
“A hose reel jet and small tools were used as firefighters made the scene safe.
“The stop message was received at 11.37am.”
Police and ambulance personnel were also in attendance.
One male casualty was taken to Raigmore Hospital; however, his injuries are understood not to be serious.
An ambulance spokesman said “We received a call at 10.47am oabout an RTC on the A939. We sent one A&E ambulance and conveyed a male to Raigmore hospital in Inverness.”
The road reopened shortly before 1.20pm as recovery for the vehicle involved was organised.
