Oban Lifeboat was launched in the early hours of yesterday morning to search for a missing person.
Coastguard teams were called to assist police in the search, which took place between Oban and Dunollie Castle, at 12.31am.
Shortly after leaving the berth at 12.43am, the missing person was located safe and well on the shore line by police and was assisted to safety by the coastguard team.
The lifeboat, Mora Edith MacDonald, then returned to her berth where she was refuelled and made ready for her next call-out.
