The Met Office have issued a yellow warning for ice in parts of the north and north-east.
The yellow “be aware” alert is in place until 10am this morning.
The Met Office said: “Showers will die out over north-east Scotland but leave a legacy of a little snow on higher routes, with ice forming on untreated surfaces.
“Over hills and mountains showers are expected to be wintry.”
Icy patches are expected on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths, with an increased likelihood of injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.
