Police Scotland confirmed that earlier today the body of a woman had been recovered from the Moray Firth area.
While formal identification has yet to take place, it is understood the family of missing person Anne Munro have been informed.
A Police spokesman said: “There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
“Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.
“Officers would like to thank the public for their assistance.”
Earlier in the day, Police and Coastguard teams were seen searching in the Kessock Bridge area, for the 57-year-old woman from Ardgay in Sutherland.
