A rescue operation has been launched in the Highlands after a calf got stuck in a river.
A passer-by spotted the animal in the River Beauly this afternoon.
It is understood to be half in the water and at the bottom of a cliff, near to Kilmorack cemetery.
The fire service sent the Inverness-based water rescue unit and has four crews at the scene.
SSE were also called out.
A spokeswoman for the fire service said: “Crews are handling the incident and have a plan in place.”
