Scottish band Tide Lines are to set a new record by becoming the first act to complete a hat-trick of shows at the Hebridean Celtic Festival.
The four-piece band, which formed in 2016, played their first gig at the renowned music festival in 2017 in the small Breasclete Hall in Lewis as well as on the Islands Stage in the main arena.
Following their outstanding debut, the group returned last year to play the main stage, preparing them for their covenant slot as headliners at the Western Isles long anticipated event.
Lead singer Robert Robertson said: “We absolutely love HebCelt and are really looking forward to coming back for the third year in a row. I think it’s a mix of the atmosphere around the town, the carry on with the other bands after the gig, which has always been great in previous years, and of course the gig itself.”
Speaking of obtaining one of the prestigious headlining spots, Mr Robertson added: “At most festivals, I always think later, headline slots have the best atmosphere as the crowd have been enjoying so many bands all night and just getting louder and louder.
“At HebCelt, however, I’ve often thought that the crowd is pretty much ready to go from the start, so each band gets a great response whether they’re headlining or not.”
Tide Lines will headline HebCelt’s main arena line-up on Thursday, 18 July.
The festival will be held from 17-20 July and will feature almost 30 international acts in the main arena programme – including other headliners KT Tunstall and The Shires – as well as events in various venues in Lewis and Harris.
