A stricken yacht was towed to safety on Tuesday night after losing power in the Moray Firth.
The two people on board called the Coastguard for help at around 8.40pm as the vessel drifted towards Nairn’s West Beach.
RNLI lifeboats from Invergordon and Findhorn Bay were tasked with rescuing the 19ft yacht from danger.
It was then towed up the River Nairn by Moray Inshore Rescue Organisation’s inshore rescue boat.
Local coastguard teams assisted once the vessel had been brought into the Highland town’s harbour.
