The scene on the A9 on Sunday.

Police are appealing for information after two people were taken to hospital following a six-vehicle collision on the A9 near Evanton.

The incident happened at Foulis on Sunday last week and involved a white Vauxhall Insignia, silver Suzuki Wagon and black Land Rover Discovery – all travelling north – as well as a southbound white Peugeot 2008 and two other vehicles which did not stop.

Officers would like to speak to the driver of a white BMW X1 which was travelling south towards the Ardullie Roundabout and a small red car which was northbound.

Two front seat passengers from the Suzuki and Peugeot were taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment to non-serious injuries.

Constable Calum MacAulay, from the Road Policing Unit in Dingwall, said: “We are appealing to anyone with information, particularly relating to the two vehicles which we have yet to identify.

“We would urge the drivers of those vehicles to come forward as well as anyone who may have dash cam footage or any other information relating to the collision.

“Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference NE2465/19.

“The road was closed for a period of time to allow for investigation and the recovery of the vehicles involved. I would like to thank anyone affected by this for their patience and understanding.”
