Police name motorcyclist killed in Highland road crash as 41-year-old Czech man

A motorcyclist killed in an accident in the Highlands last week has been named as a 41-year-old Czech national.

Vladimir Rysavka was riding a BMW motorcycle when a collision with a Ford Ranger pick-up truck occurred at around 12.05pm on July 4.

It happened on the A836 around a mile north of Lairg.

The driver of the pick-up truck was uninjured.

A police spokesman said: “Inquiries remain ongoing and anyone with information who has not yet spoken to police is urged to call 101, quoting incident 1446 of July 4.”
