The A82 Fort William to Inverness road is currently closed at Drumnadrochit due to a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
The incident was first reported around 1.15pm with emergency services currently in attendance.
A police spokeswoman said: “We received a call at 1.15pm today to reports of a serious road traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
“The road is currently closed.”
No information is currently available on the severity of any injuries sustained.
