A fishing vessel has tonight run aground in the north side of Kerrera with Oban lifeboat assisting two members off the vessel.
The incident was reported to coastguard around 6.38pm with the vessel reported to be “hard aground with a falling tide” in the area situated in the north channel of Oban bay.
A spokesman said Oban lifeboat has taken the two crew members back to Oban with plans to return during the small hours to attempt to refloat the vessel.
