A major search and rescue operation is underway near the Skye Bridge.
RNLI crews from Kyle of Lochalsh and Mallaig, alongside local coastguard crews and a search and rescue helicopter are involved in the operation, looking for missing man Gordon Buchan.
The 55-year-old was last seen at around 3pm on Sunday in Kyle, and is believed to have been driving a light blue Citroen C4.
Mr Buchan is 5ft 10in, of medium build and has short, dark greying hair.
He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a grey t-shirt and green waterproof jacket.
A coastguard spokeswoman said efforts were being made to assist in the missing person search with police also involved.
Locals in the area have reported the helicopter searching above parts of the village of Kyleakin as well as focusing their efforts on the Skye Bridge, with the helicopter’s spotlight illuminating areas of interest.
Crew members of Kyle lifeboat were paged at 4.23pm with a crew change understood to have taken place around 6.30pm.
