Heavy rain and lightning strikes hit much of the north and north-east at the weekend, leaving one Wick business still trying to recover from the effects.
Hillhead Foodstore lost its internet connection and could not accept card payments, while its cash machine was also out of service.
The store’s Younes Amin said: “The bank machine and card machine have both been down since the thunder and lightning on Saturday. Hopefully we will get it rectified sometime this week.
“It’s mostly card payment at the moment, people don’t have much cash, so it’s not great for business as people can’t pay. We’re managing but it’s not handy.”
Many parts of the north, including around Inverness, Elgin and Aberdeen, were hit by torrential rain.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks said 2,500 electricity customers around Aberdeen, Buchan and Wick who lost power on Saturday had it restored, while an issue affecting a small number of customers in Balmedie was also resolved.
