A by-election is being held for the Oban North and Lorn seat of Argyll and Bute Council.
The election will take place on Thursday July 17.
The five candidates are, Gerry Fisher, SNP; Kieron Green, Scottish Labour; John MacGregor, Independent; Marri Malloy, Independent; Andrew Vennard, Scottish Conservative.
Polling stations will be open from 7am until 10pm.
On the night of the election and after the polls close at 10pm, counting of votes will start at 10.30pm in the Corran Halls, Oban.
The results will be published on Argyll and Bute Council’s website as soon as possible.
The Oban North and Lorn ward includes the areas surrounding Oban from Kilmelford to Bridge of Orchy, and has an electorate of just over 8,000 people.
