The A82 Inverness to Glasgow road remains closed between Fort William and Onich this morning following a landslip caused by heavy rain yesterday.
And motorists are facing a 162-mile diversion.
The trunk road is currently closed in both directions between the Druimarbin junction in Fort William and the Onich junction.
Northbound traffic is being diverted via Lochearnhead, the A85 to Perth, A9 to Dalwhinnie, A889 and the A86 to Spean Bridge, with southbound traffic following the same route in reverse.
Stewart MacLean, of the A82 Partnership, said: “The road surface is clear, however, risk assessments are taking place with regards to bridges, culverts and any further movements on the hillside.”
The Corran Ferry is operating at the moment.
