
One of the north’s busiest roads will be closed overnight for essential repairs until Friday, November 7.
The A82 Inverness-Fort William road will be shut at Cherry Island, which is about half a mile north of Fort Augustus, at 8pm each night and will reopen at 6am the following morning.
Trunk road operator Bear Scotland will be carrying out resurfacing works, followed by the replacement of road markings.
A spokesman for the agency apologised for any inconvenience caused by the work, which started last night.
