A windfarm company planning to build turbines close to the Cairngorms National Park has submitted applications to install wind speed masts on the site.
Swedish state-owned firm Vattenfall wants to create a “major commercial scheme” at Dava Moor, four miles north of Grantown.
The number of turbines will not be confirmed until next year.
Vattenfall’s applications involve 295ft anemometry masts – one situated more than a mile from Dava Farm Cottage, and the other nearly two miles west of Lairg Hill.
