The lorry driver failed to spot the car but the incident was caught on a dash cam
Dramatic video footage has been posted online, showing a lorry coming within inches of ploughing into a car on the A9.
The video, posted on YouTube, was taken from a car’s dashcam in the village of Tomich and shows a lorry pulling out from a side road, apparently not noticing the oncoming car – the car driver then takes evasive action to avoid a crash.
Following the incident, the lorry appears to continue on its way along the A9, paying no attention to the near crash.
The video was posted this afternoon by YouTube user ‘Jim Mac’ and has since attracted a number of responses from concerned road users.
A man has since been charged in relation to this incident. As a result we have removed the video and images from this incident.
