The daughter of a hillwalker missing in the Cairngorms has appealed to other walkers for help to trace him.
James Robertson, 61, has not been seen since leaving his home in Cathcart, Glasgow, last Monday.
Police Scotland said mountain rescue teams, search and rescue dogs and a coastguard helicopter had been involved in the search.
Braemar Mountain Rescue Team said Mr Robertson had been staying at Bob Scott’s bothy in Glen Lui during the week.
In posts on the team’s Facebook page, daughter Lynn Strachan said her family was “distraught and desperate” for information.
She urged fellow walkers to help narrow the search.
She wrote: “My family are desperate for my dad to return home.
“It may seem useless but it only takes one person to come forward to confirm they’ve seen him on the Cairngorms to help Braemar Mountain Rescue focus their search.
“We are desperate for him to be found.”
She added: “We know that he has been out in the snow (potentially since Monday) with next to nothing on his person.
“Our only hopes of finding him rely on people who have been/are in the Cairngorms area to come forward with any information.
“The area is so vast and we have no information about what mountain he could be on.
“We need someone who has seen my dad to help Braemar and Aberdeen mountain rescue teams to narrow their search.”
A spokesman for Braemar Mountain Rescue team said: “There is an ongoing search for an overdue 61-year-old walker named Jim Robertson who was staying at Bob Scott’s bothy during the week.
“If anyone has been out walking in the southern Cairngorms, particularly hills accessible from the bothy, and think they may have met or seen this lone walker, please get in touch with us.”
Mr Robertson is described as being 5ft 10in and of medium build with short grey hair and glasses. He is believed to be carrying a large rucksack.
