A 30-year-old Banff man who sold computers and cameras stolen from a school was jailed for three months yesterday.
Ian Thomson formerly of Old School Place appeared from custody at Inverness Sheriff Court and admitted a charge of reset.
Fiscal depute Ross Carvel said a primary school had been broken into and the items were later sold in an Inverness pawn shop on December 5, last year.
He added: “Unfortunately, one of the iPads was used by a child who was a visual impairment.”
A 41 year old Nairn man who lost his temper when his partner told him she was leaving had sentence deferred until April 13 for a background report.
At Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday, Stephen Balchan of Lawrie Drive admitted shouting and swearing at Katrina Fleming on January 26 and culpably and recklessly struggling with her on January 29 while she was holding a child.
