A 27-year-old Inverness man who damaged his own television in a drunken row was ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work yesterday.
Darryl Campbell, of Ardconnel Street, was living in the Old Royal Guest House on June 14 last year when the incident happened, Inverness Sheriff Court was told.
Fiscal depute Anna Robertson said: “He became drunk and was acting in an aggressive manner, shouting and swearing.”
Defending, Rory Gowans said: “It was the first time in two or three years that he had consumed alcohol and it was his own TV.
“He has been out of trouble since.”
