Traffic delays after three-vehicle smash on major Highland road

Motorists are experiencing delays on the A9 heading into Inverness today after a collision involving a van and two cars.

The incident between a Ford Mondeo, a Ford Ranger and a Volkswagon Crofter van happened just after the Longman Roundabout on the southbound carriageway at around 1.20pm.

Police managed traffic in the area until the vehicles were removed.

A spokeswoman said: “We were called around 1.20pm to a report of a crash involving two cars and a van at the Longman Road roundabout in Inverness.

“There were no injuries and the road has now reopened.”
