Two men have been arrested in connection with a suspected serious assault in an Inverness street.
The men, aged 29 and 35, are expected to appear in Inverness Sheriff Court in due course in connection with the incident, which happened on Telford Street just after 5pm on Thursday.
An injured man was treated at Raigmore Hospital for lacerations to his face.
It is understood that both of the arrested men were also taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries.
