Hay bales destroyed in barn fire

A number of hay bales were destroyed in an overnight fire in a barn near Muir of Ord.

Firefighters from Beauly and Dingwall were called to the farm at around 9.15pm and had the fire extinguished around an hour later.

However, hay bales covering an area around 100ft by 50ft were destroyed in the fire.

Crews used a hosereel jet, a main jet and breathing aparatus to tackle the fire.

They also used a ground monitor to check for hotspots after the fire had been brought under control.
