A biker from Nairn sent a woman hundreds of messages after she broke off their short relationship.

Anthony Salter, 7 Viewfield Apartments, Nairn appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday and admitted stalking the woman between March 6 and 11 by sending her unwanted messages.

Fiscal depute Michelle Molley told the court that the woman had ended the relationship with the 43-year-old after just a month and “he didn’t take it well”.

She went on: “Then she started receiving text messages on March 6 – 29 in all of an abusive nature. Her two Facebook pages also received 500 messages and she made a complaint to the police.

“He was warned by officers not to contact her again and to remove his property from her address in Drumnadrochit.

“But he continued to communicate with her on March 11. She received a further 25 messages on her business Facebook page so she unblocked him on her personal page and asked him to stop.

“He sent another 12 messages before she asked him again to stop contacting her. A further 62 messages were sent to her by him, most of them abusive so the police were called for a third time.”

Ms Molley asked Sheriff Margaret Neilson for a two year non-harrassment order which the Sheriff said she would consider along with a background report on June 30.
