A woman who was missing for 10 days has been traced safe and well in Shetland.
Jamila Patel was last seen boarding the pedestrian ferry from John O’Groats to Orkney at the start of the month.
Concern was growing for her and a police appeal for information was launched.
A police spokesman said today: “Police Scotland would like to confirm that Jamila Patel, who was reported missing in the Caithness/Orkney area, was traced safe and well in Shetland. The media and public are thanked for their assistance.”
