A group of five walkers were rescued by a lifeboat after they got lost in island woodlands.
They had been walking in a wood alongside Kylerhea, a village on the east coast of Skye, when they lost their bearings and called Stornoway Coastguard.
The incident happened just after 9pm on Monday. A coastguard spokeswoman said: “They called 999 and requested assistance. The RNLI Kyle of Lochalsh Lifeboat located them and transported them to safety.”
