Fire crews were sent to a burning car on one of the Orkney islands this morning.
The vehicle, on Loth Pier, Sanday was reported at around 8.45am by a concerned islander who raised the alarm.
The island volunteer crew were called to the incident, and the blaze was quickly brought under control by 9.07am.
A spokeswoman for the Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to a car fire on Loth Pier, Sanday at 8.45am this morning.
“One appliance was in attendance, and the fire was brought under control by 9.07am.”
