Emergency services are at the scene of a car accident near the Lecht Ski School.
The car is reported to have left the carriageway on the A939, Tomintoul to Corgaff road, and plummeted down a ridge at the roadside a few miles south of Tomintoul.
The police and fire service were notified about the incident at 1:40pm this afternoon, four fire engines from Tomintoul, Ballater, Inverness and Elgin are in attendance along with a rope rescue appliance from Lochgelly in Fife.
The ambulance service and a coastguard helicopter are also at the scene.
A woman has been flown to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary but the extent of her injuries are unknown. It is also unknown whether there are any other occupants in the car.
