The organisers of the Piping at Forres music contest have issued an appeal for volunteers to help ensure the event runs smoothly.
The European Pipe Band Championships competition regularly attracts thousands of traditional music fans to the town, as the continent’s best bands battle it out.
The team behind the event are now trying to drum up interest among locals looking to get involved in the action.
They say volunteers have helped ensure the competition’s success since its launch in 2013, and are “key” to its success.
Lesley Dyson, who volunteered for the first time last year, said: “I absolutely loved it, I would not have missed it for the world.
“I really loved being involved in such a big event in my community.”
The event offers volunteering jobs that suit all abilities before, during and after the day itself.
During the bash, volunteers work in teams interacting with the visitors, selling programmes and keeping Grant Park tidy.
They also assist with setting up and taking down its stalls, tent and barriers.
Sandra MacIver coordinates the volunteers for organisers, Forres Events Ltd.
She said: “The feedback we get from our volunteers is that they thoroughly enjoy the day and all that the event has to offer.
“There are jobs to suit everyone and we particularly encourage help from young people.”
The European Pipe Band Championship event will take place at Grant Park on Saturday, June 24.
