Two north lifeboat teams were sent out to rescue a vessel that lost power this evening.
Crews from Buckie and Fraserburgh went out to tow the boat back to shore after its engine failed around two or three miles off the Buckie coast. The call came in just before 6pm.
A spokesman for UK Coastguard said: “The lifeboat went out to a vessel that had a machinery failure. It lost power. They are organising towing it back to shore. Fraserburgh lifeboat was also out at the same job to assist.”
